梁 挺 教 授 自 幼 是 武 癡 一 名 ， 十 三 歲 開 始 研 習 詠 春 拳 。 二 十 歲 時 ， 更 得 葉 問 宗 師 ( 亦 為 李 小 龍 師 父 ) 收 為 關 門 弟 子 。 梁 氏 畢 生 致 力 於 發 揚 詠 春 拳 術 。 目 前 ， 其 一 手 創 立 的 國 際 詠 春 總 會 ， 已 遍 佈 世 界 各 國 。 其 支 部 達 美 、 加 、 澳 、 紐 、 東 西 歐 、 亞 、 中 東 等 超 過 六 十 三 個 國 家 、 有 數 千 家 武 館 。 光 是 德 國 一 地 ， 已 擁 有 一 千 六 百 多 間 武 館 ，
三 十 年 來 ， 曾 於 各 國 之 國 際 詠 春 總 會 研 習 詠 春 拳 的 門 徒 數 以 十 萬 計 ， 成 為 國 際 武 壇 中 最 龐 大 的 獨 立 武 術 團 體 。

　　　其 武 館 事 業 發 展 速 度 雖 幾 近 奇 跡 ， 唯 梁 教 授 從 不 以 此 自 滿 。 於 此 卅 年 來 ， 梁 教 授 對 詠 春 拳 法 及 傳 授 方 式 的 研 究 ， 從 無 一 日 間 斷 。 近 年 ， 除 對 傳 統 詠 春 拳 法 更 精 益 求 精 外 ， 更 創 立 了 各 種 簡 短 特 別 課 程 以 應 某 些 特 別 人 士 需 要 。 如 ： 〔 特 種 部 隊 訓 練 課 〕 、 〔 一 般 防 衛 隊 課 程 〕 、 〔 一 般 警 隊 課 程 〕 等 等 。 現 時 ， 多 國 執 法 或 防 衛 機 關 、 如 ： 美 國 海 軍 陸 戰 隊 、 聯 邦 密 探 隊 （ FBI ） 、 德 國 SEK 及 GSG9、 法 國 RAID 、 意 大 利 NOCS、 盧 森 堡 GIP、 西 班 牙 、 比 利 時 、 奧 地 利 、 印 度 反 恐 怖 份 子 特 警 隊 、 匈 牙 利 陸 軍 部 隊 、 甚 至 埃 及 空 降 特 種 部 隊 、 獨 聯 體 FIB 等 武 術 教 練 ， 很 多 都 是 梁 氏 之 徒 子 徒 孫 ， 或 則 曾 跟 隨 過 梁 的 門 人 習 藝 。 甚 至 頗 多 世 界 級 的 武 術 高 手 ； 如 “ 國 際 泰 拳 冠 軍 及 全 大 西 洋 區 七 屆 冠 軍 ” 史 提 芬 ? 霍 斯 、 “ 國 際 泰 拳 亞 軍 及 多 屆 歐 洲 泰 拳 冠 軍 ” 史 提 芬 奴 ? 厲 慈 、 “ 世 界 空 手 道 亞 軍 兼 全 德 國 空 手 道 師 範 ” 司 基 ? 胡 夫 、 “ 三 屆 全 歐 洲 剛 柔 流 空 手 道 冠 軍 及 德 國 SEK 特 種 部 隊 近 身 搏 鬥 術 總 教 官 ” 于 根 佳 士 拿 等 人 、 以 及 數 以 百 計 的 柔 道 、 舉 重 、 摔 角 、 搏 擊 等 冠 軍 級 及 奧 運 會 金 牌 高 手 ， 均 投 於 梁 挺 教 授 門 下 ， 成 為 梁 挺 詠 春 拳 系 的 中 堅 份 子 之 一 。 乃 至 “ 世 界 重 量 級 拳 王 ” 法 蘭 克 ? 般 奴 、 亦 特 別 在 訪 港 期 間 ， 親 上 梁 教 授 彌 敦 道 總 部 討 教 詠 春 拳 術 。

　　　此 外 ， 梁 氏 亦 為 著 名 電 影 武 術 指 導 ， 自 一 九 七 六 年 至 今 ， 他 曾 策 劃 及 執 導 超 過 二 十 四 套 電 視 功 夫 劇 集 及 六 套 功 夫 電 影 片 。 由 於 他 對 中 國 武 術 和 中 國 文 化 都 具 深 厚 的 認 識 ， 他 的 專 長 遂 使 他 成 為 許 多 中 、 外 電 視 及 電 影 製 作 公 司 的 顧 問 ， 製 成 多 類 有 關 功 夫 、 氣 功 和 一 些 特 異 功 能 ， 如 ： 魔 術 和 千 術 等 的 節 目 和 文 獻 。 梁 教 授 也 是 首 位 被 邀 往 印 度 執 導 功 夫 片 的 中 國 人 ， 在 一 九 九 八 與 一 九 九 九 年 間 ， 他 曾 兩 度 被 邀 往 印 度 教 授 國 家 警 衛 隊 特 警 。 其 間 ， 他 亦 獲 邀 在 印 度 孟 買 和 南 部 一 些 城 市 執 導 一 齣 名 為 「 大 宗 師 」 的 電 影 。 現 在 ， 梁 教 授 正 計 劃 製 作 一 套 三 十 集 的 電 視 劇 集 ， 名 為《 佛 山 贊 先 生 》 ， 內 容 是 敘 清 代 詠 春 大 王 梁 贊 先 生 的 傳
奇 故 事 。

　　　一 九 七 八 年 ， 梁 教 授 出 版 了 第 一 本 關 於 詠 春 拳 源 流 的 書 籍 ， 初 版 在 四 個 月 內 售 罄 ， 他 更 收 到 成 千 上 萬 封 寄 自 世 界 各 地 的 信 件 ， 要 求 加 印 。 讀 者 熱 烈 的 反 應 促 使 梁 挺 決 定 著 作 更 多 有 關 功 夫 的 書 籍 ， 不 但 是 詠 春 拳 ， 亦 有 中 國 其 他 門 派 功 夫 的 著 述 。 迄 今 為 止 ， 梁 教 授 的 作 品 已 超 過 50 項， 包 括 詠 春 拳 和 其 他 功 夫 的 武 術
書 籍 及 武 術 錄 像 帶 。 其 中 大 部 份 已 有 中 英 、 文 版 本 ， 當 中 有 小 部 份 關 於 詠 春 拳 的 更 被 翻 譯 成 德 文 、 意 大 利 文 、 西 班 牙 文 、 匈 牙 利 文 和 南 斯 拉 夫 文 。 年 前 ， 梁 氏 開 始 在 香 港 最 暢 銷 的 《 東 方 日 報 》 撰 寫 詠 春 拳 術 專 欄 ； 筆 法 別 樹 一 幟 、 通 俗 中 不 落 俗 套 、 詼 諧 中 深 具 武 學 哲 理 。 大 獲 讀 者 好 評 ， 掀 起 詠 春 拳 術 熱 潮 。

　　Professor Leung is a WingTsun enthusiast and started learning the technique at the young age of 13. At the age of 20, he was accepted by Great Grandmaster Yip Man (who was also the teacher of Bruce Lee) as his "Closed Door Student". Leung Ting devoted his lifetime energy in developing WingTsun Kung Fu. At present, the International WingTsun Association he founded has been expanded into a worldwide martial-art organization with branches located in over 63 countries. The Association is regarded as the largest professional Kung Fu establishment amongst all the martial-arts organizations in the world.

　　The WingTsun King Fu system developed by Professor Leung is practiced worldwide by tens of thousands of martial-arts practitioners, many of which were already martial-arts instructors themselves before they took on WingTsun. These include instructors of the army and security Special Forces in a number of countries, such as the FBI and Marine Corps of the USA, SEK & GSG9 of Germany, GIP of Luxembourg, RAID of France, NOCS of Italy, Anti-Terrorist Squad of India, Special Police units of Belgium, Austria, Spain, to name just a few. A good number of these practitioners are experts from other martial-art schools. Some of them are instructors holding high Dan (grading), while others have won titles as National Champions, runner-ups, and even World Champions in various international martial-arts tournaments.

Professor Leung was also a famous kung fu film technical director. Since 1976, he had designed and directed over 24 TV kungfu series and six movies. Because of his rich knowledge in martial arts and Chinese culture, Professor Leung’s expertise was very much sought after by producers in the TV industry, and has rendered his consultancy to a number of TV production companies, both local and international, producing various programs and documentaries on topics relating to kung fu, Chi Kung, and some of the Chinese paranormal performances such as street magic and swindlers tricks. Professor Leung is also the first Chinese being invited to direct kungfu movies in India. During 1998 and 1999, he visited India twice to teach the special police at the National Police Academy of India, and when he was in the country, he was invited to direct a kung fu movie titled "Master" in Bombay and cities of South India. At the present moment Professor Leung is planning to produce a 30-episode kung fu series titled “The King of Wing Tsun”, which is a dramatic kung fu story on Dr Leung Jan, the King of WingTsun kung fu in the Qing Dynasty.

In 1978 Professor Leung released his first book on the WingTsun King fu system. The first print of the book was sold out within four months with thousand of letters coming all over the world enquiring about the reprint. The overwhelming reaction has prompted Professor Leung to make up his mind to devote more time to writing more kung fu books, not only on WingTsun, both also on other styles of Chinese kung fu. Up to now, Professor Leung has turned out more than 50 works, including books and videotapes, on WingTsun and other King Fu systems. Most of his works are published in both the English and Chinese versions, with a few of the works on WingTsun also translated into German, Italian Spanish, Hungarian, and Slavonic.
